Re: Spriting practice

If you plan to have prisons and such, maybe the captured person could attempt to free themselves? that way the player isn't TOTALL screwed if say, your two best characters are eaten alive? Maybe the swallowed people could try making the giant sick or something. I dunno There could be mini-games and...

Re: Spriting practice

the feet need more practice though M'kay. What's the issue with them mainly? I wonder what your content will feature. From what I seen, you do have a bit of a foot fetish. What other giantess-related content will you include? Well, you're right about the foot fetish. As for what else, well, ...

Re: Spriting practice

I use the Pro version of GM8 myself. I don't think I've ever used the drag-n-drop functions in Game Maker. Everything is hand coded using the built-in GML language. Anyway, there's also the teaser video I put up on Youtube, since you don't want to actually play it in its current state. https://youtu...

Using Game Maker 8. Kinda outdated, but more than enough. I released a small tech demo of my progress a while back, dunno if you played it.

Re: Spriting practice

Well, I went ahead and made Marine too while I was at it, and finally got around to Amy as well. So here's the whole trio. http://img15.imagevenue.com/loc166/th_174339520_amystomp1x_123_166lo.jpg http://img129.imagevenue.com/loc771/th_174340129_creamstomp1x_123_771lo.jpg http://img145.imagev...

Re: Spriting practice

Well, here's a sneak peek of something more official. :) This is what will eventually be incorporated into my game. http://img196.imagevenue.com/loc586/th_153506947_creamstomp1x_123_586lo.jpg The highlighting was simple enough, but the real challenge will be the shading, particularly because of the ...

Spriting practice

I've gotten to the point in my training where I'm starting to actually see how my drawings would look as sprites for my giantess game. I put together these very simple colored images to test some important fundamentals that will be important for my sprites, such as how the clothing will look in a la...

Re: Amy Rose training sketch

Made a few more concept sketches. http://img292.imagevenue.com/loc65/th_259696625_rosetest_122_65lo.jpg http://img213.imagevenue.com/loc950/th_345863172_marine3_122_950lo.jpg Not really perfect yet, but getting there. The real challenge is being consistent with how they turn out every time, especial...

Re: Plans for a game (input/advice appreciated)

So, just to let everyone know, I have NOT abandoned the project. Been working on other things, meanwhile still trying to decide how the clothing options will play out. Now that I have a solid plan, I've been in the process of training to draw the characters, which is slowly making progress. I feel t...

Re: Plans for a game (input/advice appreciated)

Well, I thought of something that COULD work for this game. I like your ideas of the upgraded clothing but how about between levels characters who've been swallowed or captured have a short minigame to try and escape on their own? Y'know I was JUST thinking of something along those lines. lol Yeah ...

Re: Plans for a game (input/advice appreciated)

Sorry for slow progress lately. I'm about to start planning sprite animations and such. But first I need a good idea of what I need. Two major planned elements will go hand-in-hand: capture/containment and destructible clothing. When a playable character is defeated and captured, they'll be kept in ...

Amy Rose training sketch

For those who don't know, I'm working on a giantess-themed Sonic game. It's gotten to the point in development where it's time to start looking into character sprites. For now, I've elected to practice a bit and draw them myself. This is kinda one of my first practice attempts at drawing Amy. Came o...

Re: Plans for a game (input/advice appreciated)

New video up. LOTS of updates! Almost got a fully playable build up and running. https://youtu.be/VhsIgwXi1Cg Sorry in advance for the audio desync, and other anomolies like invisible shields caused from FPS downscaling. So, lots of new stuff... let's see... - Basic damage mechanics - Loss an...

Re: The Feet Conundrum

Actually, there's a similar one with Amy as well, also with the same foot style. Also in the Sonic X anime, there's a couple beach episodes where, yeah, their feet again have the same toeless design.

Me personally, I've grown accustomed to it.

Re: Plans for a game (input/advice appreciated)

So, first off, I'm really glad to see the amount of enthusiasm there is for this project. The next update might be a while, though. The next thing I'm planning on doing is laying the groundwork for the item/inventory/ability management mechanics. What I have in mind is interesting IMO. Rathe...
